At Mount Lucas traffic to FAS Training Centre for heavy machinery must cross a Bord Na Mona narrow gauge railway track which trains use to transport harvested peat from the bogs to nearby power stations.
Blue Wall were requested to submit a proposal for and automatic system to safely control access across the railway tracks.

The system implemented uses 2 Automatic Systems BL barriers with skirts and traffic lights combined with detectors to pick up trains going to and returning from the bog on any of 2 rail lines. Blue Wall installation included design, cabling, installation and complete testing and documentation and subsequent maintenance of the system.
